Crochet Keyring with Cross Stitch/Embroidery

Here's a new hot item originally from MFK. The crochet keyring or keychain custom with cross stitch / embroidery name.

Dr Faz wanted a set of couple keyring for her couple friend as a gift. She also requested extra deco at the back with the couple's name & a heart which I've used handcut heart felt & sew onto it. The name are from metalic yarn.

Sharpening Crochet Monster Pin Cushion

I've just randomly made this lil monster pin cushion. A very quick little project. It's a sharpening type where i"ve used some steel wool inside. I might crochet some more later. =)

It's really has been so long I blogged on my crafts related stuff. A bit busy updating on FB page MisFydKrafts & my Instagram account misfyd. Yup, now trying my best to update the blog more frequently!

So the latest news is I'm busy with workshop & craft bazaar for the first ever big event of the year co-organised by ACG (which I'm a life member) and Parkamaya at Fahrenheit 88, Kuala Lumpur (near Pavilion).

I'll be doing the Furoshiki Eco Wrap workshop, which you will learn the basic Furoshiki knot & also 8 different wrapping designs that you can use in your everyday life!

It will be a BIG crafty event where there will be 9 other Malaysia's talented crafters instructor (kids & adult workshop) will be doing the eco craft workshop with me! The aim of ACG KL & Selangor is to introduce the local creative community to the various type & fast to do, as to encourage participants to widen their creativity and serves as a therapeutic purpose.

Here's the details of the event:

• Name of event: The Eco Craft Partee, Parkamaya's theme "I LOVE GREEN"
• Venue: Parkamaya, 3rd floor Fahrenheit 88, Kuala Lumpur (near Pavilion, Uniqlo at ground floor)
• Dates: 27-28 April 2013 and 11-12 May 2013
• Time:    2 sessions each day, 11.00am - 3pm, 3.30pm- 7.30pm
• Fees :  

1. For 1 workshop, RM35 (Free craft kit), 1 hour
2. For 4 workshops, RM100 (discount RM40!), total of 4 hours                                                    
3. GROUP DISCOUNT is available for:  Every 5pax, Free 1pax (For table of 10pax, you will be given 2pax free)  *All payments must be made at the same time. Maximum for each session is 40pax under the guidance of 4 instructors

ACG will donate RM10 (for every booking of 4 crafts together) to the Selangor Federal Territory Association for the Mentally Handicapped which is in danger of closing down. Story about it on the Star Online here.     There will be a small potluck of snack to nibble on too! You are welcome to bring some light snack to share!

First completed order of the year: Froggy beanies

Happy New Year! I'm a bit occupied with orders this new year but I'm trying to get MFK blog update more frequently this year. =) Hope that it will be another great year for MFK.

New crochet orchid design: Inspired from the Cattleya

I've did this new design around end of last year. Inspired from an cattleya orchid I saw at the MAHA expo, Serdang, where many orchid plants was on sale. I did several trial with different type of yarn with the designs too. Check out some of the orchid photos I took at MAHA and also my new orchid design. 

Here's my inspiration and my first crochet orchid design from acrylic yarn.

My 2nd & 3rd on the same orchid design but with different type of yarn. Medium weight acrylic & light weight cotton yarn.

New design baby set : The simple baby boy crochet set

This is an order by my ex-RPKJ batch mate (prep course to Japan), Fiena's order for her new born baby boy. I've designed a new simple design of beanie & booties for her order.

She just delivered her baby boy and I hope that she'll like all the 3 sets. =)
