New F'dyHana Hana on a Prezzie!

I was just finished wrapping a prezzie for my ex housemate new born baby, then it struck me to try one of my earliest to do list which is using F'dyHana as a wrapping accessory replacing the conventional ribbon. So I took my needle & design a new F'dyHana for this which I call just plain Hana as I don't know what flower this is :p. Anyway, the Hana alone was so plain with only the button at the middle, so I added some green leaves with it. So here's my new F'dyHana as a gift wrap accessory:

Ahhh nearly forget about the pin. I attach the pin so the mummy also have a prezzie too!

I pin the Hana on a black yarn that I've tied over the wrapped prezzie.

Crochet Tawashi （編みタワシ）

Today I read my friend Aisyah's Daily DIY on crochet Tawashi or dish scrubbie. The tutorial is from Craft Stylish by Linda Permann. For quite some time I was in Japan didn't knew about this crochet Tawashi (shame on me :p). Well my hand was itchy to try to make one so I finished one today. The pattern was not that hard. So here's my new crochet Tawashi:

My Green & Orange Tawashi, 11cm in diameters. I've used Sirdar Acrylic Yarn for this one. Can't wait to try it when I wash my dishes! :)

Hmm.... just wondering whether can it be a body scrub sponge??

New Creation - Crochet Applique Bookmarks

Although I'm quite busy starting this week with my scientist work, I plan to create at least one new creation per week for my therapy :p. So I won't be able to update my blog that frequent ****sob,sob :(****.

Anyway this week I managed to try one of my to-do-list item, which is book mark. Honestly I'm not really a book person, but I guess it will be useful for anyone who like to indulge in thick novels or books :p. It might be a nice gift too.

For this first try, I made some crochet applique & glue it onto a hard type plastic sheet where you can get in any stationary shop. Punch a hole & slip in a ribbon. So here's the new bookmark:

What do you think? 

I have a bit of problem on making the glue look nice at the back side of the bookmark as the plastic sheet is kinda see thru. I've tried UHU glue for the first one but it makes it a bit messy, then I've tried glue gun, a bit cleaner but still not that nice looking.
Anyone has a suggestion on what type of glue or how to glue this acrylic appliques on plastic sheet nicely so that it's more presentable when ppl flip it?

Yesterday just right before I want to go out for work....... I've locked myself between the outside grilled & outside door (enterance area) for nearly 1hour!
Yeap...first time ever I locked myself in as I left my keys in the house, the house maintenance management's technician have to cut the padlock to safe me who was locked like a convict + need to break my door knob & change to a new one ***sigh*** Luckily I was still on time for work.......

Anyway, despite that awful morning, I managed to sell some of MisFydKrafts from my colleagues (F'dyHana Hp strap & pin, crochet bracelet & crochet ring). Got some new orders too for F'dyHana Rose.
Thanks guys for all of your support! ***hugs*** I'm so happy. I'll try to create more nice accessories in the future.

How to add your own 'Grab my badge or link me' button 

Maybe a lot of you all out there are thinking of making your own badge/button for your blog, don't know how to start, will spent a lot of time figuring how to make them like me.

To make your work easier, without thinking so much of the HTML codes, here's a simple step by step on how you can add your own 'Grab my badge or link to me' button for your blog:

1)
First, you have to create a badge size around 125x125 pixel.
Of course you can create bigger one but make sure it can fit in most sidebars in blogs. For me, I've created a few sizes so that everyone can choose. You can use any photo editing software such as photoshop or GIMP, logo making software such as AAA Logo to design your badge. For me, I've used AAA Logo & GIMP to design & edit my badges.

After you had create your badge, upload the badge in a photo hosting account such as photobucket, flickr etc. You can get the badge URL there. For example, you can click at the badge below:

The URL address will be something like this:

Next, to add it in your sidebar (for blogger),
go to--> layout > page element > add gadget > HTML/Javascript

New Accessories! - The Crochet Ring

One of my to do list was crochet ring. Thursday night, I was crazy designing the crochet ring. I managed to finished 5 different colours & designs of crochet ring. Yes, 5 different rings in one night! How crazy I'm if I have something in mind. I just can't stop making :p.
Here's my new creations:

First stage. Finished the crochet ring. Tried in on on all my fingers :p.   

Simply & it looks nice just like that. Of course I didn't stop right there. 

I Accessorise them!!

Final stage. Finished accessorised all the rings with beads/buttons :). 

Tried them again on all my fingers. How do they look? 

I was so excited looking at them until I can't stop taking photos so here's some close up on all the rings:

Crochet Style Bracelet - Blue + Grey + Hook

Last week I managed to learn several new type of stitches from The Crochet Side's YouTube tuts. One of it was the Wattle stitch which combines ch, sc & dc stitches.
I made a new design bracelet using the stitch. A blue base with grey edging. In addition, I took out my pliers & finish it with my extra metal accessories rings & hook (left over from Japan stash) to fasten the bracelet.  

Here's the new bracelet with the new stitch:

 Kinda love the texture of the stitch. That's why I just made it a plain design.

Crochet Style Bracelet - Light Yellow + Light Brown + Beads

I designed a new bracelet on Tuesday as Aishah asked whether I have a yellow one for one of her friend. So I just tried to make one with my only yellow yarn available. Crochet the bracelet with a yellow yarn using beading method (bead the yarn before crochet). Used the normal sc stitch with light brown yarn for the edging & a metal button for fasten. It's a sweeter version compare my previous design as the yarn are less thicker.
So here's the new bracelet:

I just love creating new stuff! :) What do you think about this design?

Flower Vine Necklace

Another adaptation from Marta's white flower necklace, I've made one with my personal touch :).
I used green & brown yarn for the vine leaves & light brown with an orange button for the flower. A crochet ring behind the flower is use to slip in the vine.

What do you think about this one?

Mini Bag

rIt has been awhile that I'm thinking to make a crochet bag. Today I managed to make a mini bag with my left over yarn stash from Japan which are a bit thicker than I normally use in all of my previous post. Here's my mini bag (roughly 22(w)x18(h)x 6(d)cm in size) that I've crochet for roughly 2 hours:

In progress. Just finished the base. The challenge is to complete this mini bag with only one big ball of navy blue yarn. With a bit of other colours, I managed to use one whole ball.

Navy blue with baby blue strip mini bag. It does look like a mini shopping bag :p.
Fits just nice for my purse & handphone :) 

I hope to make a bigger one, maybe a sling bag or something later when I have the chance to restock my yarns. 

Simple String Headband

After one & another, based on Marta's creations, I've tried to make a string headband with a slight different from hers.
The same stitches as the previous post simply string necklace but slightly longer version to fit my head. Actually the string headband can also be use as a necklace too & vice versa. Here's the string headband:

I combined four crochet string, make a button loop & sew a button to fasten.

 It can also be a longer version string necklace compare to the first one that I've made :)
