Shopping for supplies!

Yesterday I went shopping with my good friend Amal & her mom. Both of them are crazy with craft work too. Her mum is selling her handmade bags & Amal is starting her embroidery & paper craft work. I tagged along with them to Chow Kit to buy some supplies for my crochet work. Yishhhh actually it was my first time there & it's kinda heaven for crafters :p. I've bought a cute basket for my keeping my craft supplies tidy, handphone straps, pins, some nice buttons & beads.

This is the basket. Lov'in it :).

How I've started my flower crochet

My first flower crochet was nearly 5 years ago when I was in my 4th year bachelor in Tokyo. I was watching this NHK craft series where they show how to crochet a flower. As I was crazy knitting at that time, I was eager to try the flower crochet. I added some beads at the middle & I love it. I made it as my handphone strap & still using it until now after changing my handphone several times. Here's my first crochet flower.

Kinda vintage with the discoloured beads but I still love using it :). When one of my japanese senior in my lab saw my flower strappy she wanted one & I did a blue one for her. She wanted to pay for it but I only charged her with a bottle of coke :D. She was my first customer. I hope I can make more nice crochet strappy or accesories for everyone to use.

MisFydKrafts

At last I managed to create my own crafts blog :).
Here are some general info on my MisFydKrafts:
  • History:  Inspired by all the talented & creative craft bloggers out there, I was eager to show off my craft work too! Thats why I've started my MisFydKrafts blog.
  • MyCraft:  Mainly is crochet work as it is the first thing I've learned from my mum when I was in primary school but I do try a lot of stuff too. Hmmm let me see,  I've tried sewing bags, knitting, felt work, crossstitch, craving rubber stamps etc. I like to try new things :))
  • MisFydKrafts:  I was having difficulties of creating the name for my blog but with the suggestion from my dear Pdy, we managed to agree on MisFydKrafts :). MisFyd = my screen/nickname + Krafts = crafts of course.
Well that's about it. Hope everyone enjoy browsing my blog. Feel free to leave comments, email or just drop a msg in my chat box :D
